AOL Attachment instructions

Sending Attachments in AOL Email

 

  1. Create the email to whom you want to send the attachment to by completing the to:, subject:, and message body
  2. Click "Attach File" below
  3. Locate the file you want to send as an attachment
  4. Click "open"
  5. Click "Send Now"

 

Sending Multiple Attachments in AOL Email

 

  1. Create the email to whom you want to send the attachment to by completing the to:, subject:, and message body
  2. Click "Attach File" below
  3. Locate the file you want to send as an attachment
  4. Click "open"
  5. Repeat step #2 for each additional attachment
  6. Once all the attachments have been opened/added to the email
  7. Click "Send Now"

 

Opening an attachment in AOL that contains multiple attachments in one ZIP file/attachment

 

  1. Open/Read the email message
  2. Double Click on the icon below the message text that resembles a file folder with a zipper and has a suffix .zip at the end
  3. A warning might be displayed, click "yes"
  4. The Download Manager appears, Click beside "save in" and choose desktop
  5. Click Save
  6. The file will be downloaded/transferred, saved, and opened/extracted onto the desktop
  7. Minimize the AOL window you have open or close all open windows
  8. Locate the file on the desktop with the same name as the attachment you are looking for, WITHOUT a file folder icon with a zipper
  9. Double click to open the folder and see its contents

10.  Open each file as needed or drag the files to My Documents for permanent storage

Backup Quicken to a Flash Drive 1. Insert the flash drive into the computer 2. Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4.
