Cleanup/remove and erase any old files that are bogging down the computer using CCleaner
1. Go to piriform.com
2. Click “download”
3. Click “download from filehippo” in small print towards the bottom of the page
4. The page will change
5. Click “download latest version” on the top right
6. Wait for the page to load and you will be prompted to save or run the file you are downloading
7. Click “save”
if possible choose the desktop as the location where you want to save the file
8. Wait for the file to complete downloading
9. Next, is installing the program into the computer
10. Locate the file you downloaded, on the desktop of in my documents/downloads
11. Double click to open the file
12. Follow the prompts next, yes, agree, etc
13. When you get to the point in the installation where there are a series of check marks remove all but save in start menu and automatically check for updates
14. Continue clicking next until you get to finish
15. Upon completion of the installation and clicking finish, and ccleaner will open
16. Click “analyze” to see what will be cleaned in your computer
17. Click “run” to remove the files and clean up the computer
18. Another function of ccleaner is the ability to clean the registry. To do so click registry on the left and follow the steps. Do save the current registry file when prompted to do so before making any changes/repairs.
