Looking at the Peregrine Falcon Webcam on the Internet

http://www2.ucsc.edu/scpbrg/nestcamSF.htm or

go to google type in "PGE Falcons" then press "enter" and choose the first underlined link.

The falcons won't play, it says I need Quicktime or I only see a big blue Q

1.   Go to www.quicktime.com

2.   Click download on the left

3.   Click "Download Now" on the left

4.   Choose to Run or Save the download by clicking the window that appears or the yellow bar above

5.   Once the file has completed downloading

6.   Double click to open it if it hasn't opened yet

7.   Run the installation by click Next Next… etc

8.   Once the installation is completed go back to the Falcon's website and you will see the live video feed

When I download I get the option to "Run" or "Save", what's the difference

Run = use for one time access, installing software, looking at an attachment you know you don't want to keep

Save = use if you know you want to save the item to my documents so you can retrieve it in the future

Using the Autocorrect function in Microsoft Word to type out a commonly used phrase like an address block, closing of a letter, by just typing in a few unique letters.

1.   Create the phrase you want to appear

2.   Highlight the phrase

3.   Click the round colored icon on the top left ( or go to tools and choose autocorrect options in older versions of word)

4.   Choose "word options" on the bottom

5.   Click Proofreading on the left and choose "autocorrect options"

6.   In the replace box type in the 2 or 3 letters that will activate the automatic phrase. Like cl, dt, etc. BE SURE NOT TO CHOOSE A WORD otherwise the phrase will appear when you don't want it

7.   Click Ok and Close

8.   Done test it by typing out the 2or3 letters you chose and press space
