Getting errors that your system that it is not compatible, or the architecture is incorrect when installing new programs and applications.

You need to upgrade your Macintosh.

The newest available version is 10.6 or Snow Leopard. (note you must have an Intel chip in your computer. To check go to the apple menu and choose "about this Mac") Lion, version 10.7 is coming soon, but you do need the updated version of 10.6 before you can install Lion.

The software can be purchased from apple.com for $29 (not including shipping) or can be purchased from your local apple store.

Installation is simple to do. Your current software should all work with the new system. Note** if you have a scanner installed in your current system you will need to download and reinstall the newest software for 10.6 or above in order for it to work.

Check for updates
Go to the apple menu
Choose "Software update"
If you want you can select which items you want to update or I suggest just doing them all
Click "Install"
*Note* You need to know your Macintosh Password to complete the installation. Try it with nothing there, or try your telephone, last name or first name. If you don't know your password you can reset your password with some professional assistance.
