My Microsoft Office Word/Excel is performing slowly/strangely.

Run an office diagnostic to repair it

1. go to the help menu

2. choose "detect and repair"

3. follow the prompts

OR if you have a newer version

1. go to the start menu (or flag in the lower right corner)

2. go to "all programs"

3. find the "office tools" folder (might be in the office folder)

4. open "microsoft office diagnostics"

5. follow the prompts

 

Free Photo Management and Editing (you can also use it for scanned images/documents)

picasa.google.com

locates all the photos in your computer, organizes them, and has face recognition

 

If you want to edit clip art in word, right click on the image and choose "edit image"

 

How do I know my antivirus is working?

Look at the icon that represents the antivirus software you have installed in, by looking at the bottom right

If it has a yellow or red icon on it, it needs your attention, click on it twice to open it and follow the instructions

Malwarebytes (recommended for Malware, Spyware) NOT FREE

Spyware Doctor (recommended for Malware, Spyware) NOT FREE

 

 

Change your email password to add extra security to your account.

Create a random string of letters and numbers, upper case and lower case of no less than 8-12 characters.

PLEASE BE SURE TO WRITE IT DOWN!!!!!

To change the yahoo password, log in and click on your name on the top left and choose account info and look for a category that allows you to change your password.

Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4.
