Dock
Remove an Icon
1) Quickly click hold and drag the icon to the desktop
Change the position of an Icon on the Dock
1) Quickly click hold and drag the icon to another place on the dock
Add an icon to the Dock
1) Click on the "Go" menu
2) Click "applications"
3) find the application you want to add to the dock
4) click hold and drag the icon onto the dock
Change the dock settings, position, etc
1) Go to the apple menu (top left)
2) Click "system preferences"
3) Click "dock"
4) Make the needed adjustments

Check the version of the OS
1) Click the apple menu
2) go to "about this mac"
3) your version will be displayed
View your serial/build number
1) click on the OS version and the build number, then the serial number will be displayed

When doing Google Searches
BE SURE to look at the source of the abstract displayed in green

Remote Access
Use a remote access service like logmein.com or gotomypc.com
Setting up remote access using logmein.com
1) visit the website
2) click the free access on the bottom left
3) register your email address and create a password
4) login
5) click Add Computer and follow the steps to install logmein.

Accessing my computer remotely
1) go to logmein.com
2) login with your email and password
3) click on the computer you want to connect to
