Must have system 10.6.8, 10.7, 10.8

Must have an apple ID - setup atappleid.apple.com

1.Go to your apple menu
2.Click on the App Store
3.A new window will appear and Maverick will appear in the middle of the screen
4.Click the logo
5.Click free
6.Click install
7.Enter your apple id and password
8.The software is downloaded and you will be prompted to install the software
***note: you must have your computer's password
9.The installation will continue and the computer will automatically restart and the installation will continue
**note: the upgrade may take up to an hour to install

Backup Quicken to a Flash Drive 1. Insert the flash drive into the computer 2. Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4. Go to the “file” menu and choose “backup” 5. A window displaying the path of where the backup will be saved will appear The path should be to the E: or identifying letter of the flash drive 6. If not…you need to direct quicken to where to save the backup 7. Click “browse” 8. Find and click on “my computer” 9.
