PC Notes for 12/3/13

Thursday Dec 5th - Internet SelfDefense class at Aquatic Park Senior Center at 1pm
 
Turn off active desktop
1) Right Click on the desktop
2) choose properties in the menu that opens
3) Choose the Web Tab
4) Remove the Active Desktop check mark
When in doubt, "Right Click" and look for what you want in the menu.
Downloading files, attachments
Run/Open vs. Save/Download to Computer
Run/Open=one time use
Save=keep for the future
**Both will download the file to your computer**
Run/Open->downloads->saves the file to a temporary location (that you can't easily access)-> will open the file once the download completes.
Save->downloads the file->saves the file to your desktop/downloads/documents folder(you have to locate the file and double click on it to open it)
