Uninstall Software/Applications from your computer
1) Click on the start menu and choose
settings/control panel
2) Open the icon titled Add/Remove, Uninstall Program, or Programs and Features (titles vary based on the version of Windows you are using)
3) Locate the software you want to remove and click uninstall above

***WARNING***
If you don't know what the software is, leave it alone!

Remove Malware/Spyware
Locate the recently installed software by looking at the date the software was installed.
Remove all software installed ON the same date.

Creating a Shortcut on the Desktop for easy access to files and folders
1) Find the file to make a shortcut to
2) Click with the RIGHT mouse button and drag the icon to the desktop
3) Choose "Create Shortcut"
4) The shortcut appears

Customize your Favorites Folder List displayed on the left of any window
1) Find the folder you want to include in the Favorite Folder
2) Click hold and drag the folder between two existing items or to the bottom of the list ( be careful not to drop the folder into a folder in the list)
3) Release your mouse

Customize your Taskbar (bottom bar)
Remove(unpin) an item from the taskbar
1) Right Click on the Item and Choose Unpin
Add an item to the Taskbar
1) Open the item you want to add i.e. Word, a Folder, Chrome
2) Right Click on the Icon on the Taskbar and choose Pin to Taskbar

Backup Quicken to a Flash Drive 1. Insert the flash drive into the computer 2. Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4. Go to the “file” menu and choose “backup” 5. A window displaying the path of where the backup will be saved will appear The path should be to the E: or identifying letter of the flash drive 6. If not…you need to direct quicken to where to save the backup 7. Click “browse” 8. Find and click on “my computer” 9.
