Macintosh Notes 2/21/17

Organizing the icons on the screen or in a folder
  1. Click the view menu and choose icon, details, etc.

Sort Files by a Specific Information, Name, Date, Kind, Etc.
  1. Click the View menu and choose Sort By and then choose how to reorganize the files

Kinds of Files
jpeg (tiff, png, gif) = pictures/photos
pdf = electronic document (non editable)
doc, pages = word processing (editable)
html = webpage
xls, numbers = spreadsheets

Save as PDF (portable document format)
Print the document
  1. File menu
  2. Choose Print
  3. Click the PDF menu on the bottom left
  4. Choose save PDF

Edit a PDF
You must purchase specific software like adobe acrobat

Quickly jotting down ideas and information to be saved/organized on the computer, iOS device.
USE NOTES
**First Line is the Title**
***Newest Edited Note Appears on the Top of the List***
****Share a Note, using the arrow pointing up****
***Access Notes on all your iOS devices***

Find Notes
Use Spotlight (magnifying glass on the top right)

Use Launchpad to view all the applications in your computer

Use the GO menu while on the finder to get to documents, downloads, home, hard drive, external drive and other locations.
