Hacked?!?
What is it?
Compromised/Intrusion
How do I know if I have been hacked?

Different Types of Malicious Software

Malware (surfing the web)
Advertising tricking the user to buy something, usually related to a virus or computer service

Ransomware (surfing the web)
Locks your computer with the ability to unlock it only if you pay $$

Trojans (Operating system specific, email, or download)
Behind the scenes logging and tracking everything you do and type

Virus (Operating system specific, email, or download)
Delete or corrupt data

How can I avoid Malicious Software?
Originally Macintosh computers were less likely to be affected. Because there are fewer Mac computers in the world but more Microsoft Computers.

Protect yourself with antivirus or anti malware.
PC - Malware Bytes (Paid Version)
Macintosh - Sophos (Free)

My Computer Is Running Slow…what can I do?
Over time adding devices and software slows down the computer because it is requiring and draining resources from the CPU and Memory.
Upgrade RAM/Memory!!!!!! -  additional equipment that needs installation
Check how much memory I can add and how much the memory costs.
PC - http://www.kingston.com/us (look for a name, model and serial number/service tag on the device)
Mac - https://www.macsales.com (what kind of computer do I have, Apple menu->About This Mac->Computer information appears)

Remove unnecessary Applications/Software - like antivirus or anti malware software (BUT BEWARE)

How can I be sure the new computer I am buying is fast enough for me?
Expect to pay at least:
$700 PC Desktop
$900 PC Laptop
$1100 Mac Desktop
$1200 Mac Laptop

More RAM the better at least 8GB
Solid State Hard Drive
