How to improve the speed of my computer/device!

Software vs Hardware

Software - programs that make the device work, apps installed to complete specific tasks. i.e. Windows, Macintosh Sierra, iOS, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Word, Excel ALSO…Antivirus, Drivers for the Printer,

Hardware - components, equipment that makes the device work, i.e. CPU, Memory, Storage Space

Software is difficult to remove because many of the applications running in the background are essential and nondescript.

Hardware can be added to improve the speed of the computer. Specifically MEMORY/RAM.
~How do I know how much memory and what memory to buy?
1.Visit a memory retailer, www.crucial.com or www.kingston.com, www.macsales.com(mac)
2.Complete the memory finder form or download the software to check your computer's current configuration.
3.When the memory arrives in the mail, visit google or youtube and search for "replace memory for *Name and type of Computer*" OR call Jason

Replace the hard drive with a Solid State Hard Drive.
~How do I choose the Solid State Hard Drive?
1.Determine how much storage you require.
(Mac-apple menu, about this mac, storage / PC-open my computer or this pc, the amount of storage being used is displayed)
2.Buy a drive with at least 60% more than what you need online.
Memory and SSD affects the speed of how an application, OS starts and how quickly it responds to your commands

If opening and loading of pages on the internet is slow then you need to increase the speed of your Internet.
How do I increase the speed of the Internet?
If using the towers connection, connect to SFTInternet5.
If you don't see SFTInternet5, upgrade your wifi antenna, like BrosTrend AC1200. An external antenna you plug into your USB connection.
If using Comcast or another internet provider, call your provider to see if a faster speed is available.

If your device/computer is running slow…TURN IT OFF and then turn it back on again. This will close any open applications and finish any tasks hopefully starting up fresh and fast.
If the device/computer is still slow after restart, then you may need a new device/computer.

Reinstall the software or factory reset the device to return the device to the original speed and configuration of when you got it. BEWARE all of your information will be lost so backup in advance and replace when the reinstall is done.
