Macintosh Notes 4-17-18

Create a New Document, Open a New Web Window, etc.
  1. Click the File Menu
  2. Choose New


Understand your menus, contain the functions you can do with your program/software


File Menu:

New

Open previously saved

Save

Save As, save another version, name, etc

Print

Export (change the format of the document, like PDF)

Recent Items (find a lost document, keeps the last 5 documents opened)


Edit Menu:

UNDO

Cut

Copy

Paste


I am getting notifications that i don't want on the top right of my screen how can I turn them off?

  1. Click the Apple Menu
  2. Choose System Preferences
  3. Choose Notifications
  4. Find the application you don't want notifications from and remove the check marks


Printing, Show and Hide Details

Hide Details, Displays a simplified view of the options available for your printer

Show Details, Displays more options available for your printer


Need to download Pages?

Click the Apple menu

Go to the App Store

And Search for Pages on the top right


Try other new applications, games like sudoku, solitaire, etc or productivity application

Go to the App Store

Click Get


Find the Application in you computer

Click the Rocket, Launchpad, on the dock


Remove a downloaded application

Open the Launchpad

Click and hold on the application to remove till it shakes

Click the X

Confirm the deletion of the application
