Pages - Apple's free word processing


Get Pages from the App Store (use search to find it)


Start a new Pages document, press the +

Choose blank document


Change the title of your document.

Tap the title on the top of the screen

Erase the contents with in it by pressing the X with a circle around it

Type in the new title of the document


Copy and paste

Select what you want to copy, press and hold on the word to select it and then drag the blue circle to select the entire phrase

Tap copy

Tap where you want to put it

Press and hold to choose paste


Undo if you make a mistake

Tap the arrow on the top of the screen

Or 

Shake your device


I have a PDF I want to edit. How can I?

Download and use an application like Adobe Acrobat (not the Reader)

On a Macintosh computer, Preview, can edit PDF


Problems with WiFi or the Internet?

Forget and reconnect your WiFi connection

Settings

WiFi

Tap the i 

Choose forget internet (check that xfinity is not remembered by pressing forget)

Backup Quicken to a Flash Drive 1. Insert the flash drive into the computer 2. Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4. Go to the “file” menu and choose “backup” 5. A window displaying the path of where the backup will be saved will appear The path should be to the E: or identifying letter of the flash drive 6. If not…you need to direct quicken to where to save the backup 7. Click “browse” 8. Find and click on “my computer” 9.
