Understanding how to use Google Chrome Web Browser better
Use one unified login to access all the same web settings across multiple devices as they sync via Google through the cloud.
Access Web Browser options, settings, features and more.
Click the three stacked dots (or lines) on the far top right to reveal all the options you need related to your web browser.
Using Tabs to quickly navigate between commonly accessed websites.
Examples would be your morning routine, 1. check email via webmail - gmail.com 2. Read the news - sfgate.com 3. Listen to music - kdfc.com 4. Play daily Wordle - https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle
To create a new tab (3 options):
Click the stacked three dots on the top right, choose new tab
Click the + beside the last tab on the top of the window
Hold down CTRL + tap T
Go to website you want to see, create another new tab and repeat, as needed for each website you want to have easily accessible
*To close a tab, click the X after clicking the tab you don’t want.
Customize the websites/pages that open when you first open Chrome.
Open the one, two, three or more tabs with each tab displaying the page you want to have open every time you open Chrome.
Click the Three Dots (top right)
Go to Settings
On the left, go to Startup
Remove any current pages listed by clicking the stack of three dots beside the name of the site and confirm by choosing Remove
Click “Use Current Pages” to add all the tabs you have open saved as the default tabs/websites that will open every time you open Chrome.

Click the three dots to see the Chrome menu
Hover over Extensions
Choose Manage Extensions to view the already installed extensions
Click the switch to turn off or on an extension.
Click Remove to delete the extension permanently.
**If you see an extension that is suspicious or you don’t know what it is, Remove It. Malicious extensions/add-ons can take over your browser and give you undesirable results.
Add Extensions/Add-ons you want.
Example.
Malware Bytes - blocks ads and protects you from accidentally visiting malicious websites
Rakuten - earn a rebate check when you shop online at participating websites
Google Translate - will translate webpages into the language of your choice
Click the three dots to see the Chrome menu
Hover over Extensions
Choose Visit Chrome Web Store to browse and install new extensions
Browse by category or type in the search what you’d like to find, either by name or function
Click Add to Chrome
Confirm by clicking “Add Extension”
Your new extension has been added
Click the puzzle piece on the top right to view your extensions.
Click the pin to have the extension visible.
Click the extension to see more options and to control the extension.
