iCloud Storage

View your storage -> Apple Menu-> Settings-> Click your name-> click iCloud -> look at the bar graph

Photo Sync - Takes up large majority of space

to clear up space in photos, remove Duplicates and Movies - Open Photos and click on the left to choose the related category and make the necessary deletes or merge duplicates

iCloud Drive/Files vs. Sync the Desktop & Documents Folders

If Documents are the major category of storage and you don't want to waste Cloud storage space, move the files you want to keep but not sync to Downloads or the Home folder so they don't automatically sync but you still have a copy of them

Clean up Browser Autofill

Go to settings -> Search for Autofill-> remove old payment methods, addresses, etc.

Password Managers

**USE ONLY ONE password manager, Apple, Microsoft, Chrome/Google, etc. - usually depends on the browser you use most often
Clean up your password list to ensure you have the correct password.
I have a Windows computer can I get my Apple passwords? Yes, download the iCloud app, or Safari on the Windows computer or the iCloud Keychain Extension on Edge Browser

Make space in your email inbox

Look for emails with attachments. Download the attachments to your computer and delete the email.
Try the search bar to look for only emails with attachments or to specify a size 5mb or higher so you can quickly clean out your inbox.

Check in settings how much storage you are using.

My emails have been hacked! What do I do? Notify all your contacts, friends and family to ignore the recent email and NOT send you money or respond to the email. This includes someone to send the message on your behalf.  Or create/use a secondary email to send a notification email to your friends/family group or distribution list NOT to send you money or respond to the email. (Be sure to put all the contacts in the BCC and send to groups of no mare than 50 contacts at a time) 1. And you can forward emails from @comcast.net to your new email while you slowly transition over to a more secure email provider. Getting too much Spam (Junk Mail) Unsubscribing doesn't usually work Use the SPAM/Junk filters Create your filters/rules ~If the above options don't help, setup a secondary email address and share the new address with friends and family while leaving the junk behind in the old email.
