Safari Notes 7-17-12

Safari Customize your Top Sites (accessed by clicking the gird on the top left) 1. Click on the grid of squares on the top left 2. Top Sites (tiles of previously visited pages appear) 3. Click "Edit" bottom left 4. Click the X to remove an item from top site or the push pin to add the screen to your permanent collection of top sites 5. Click "Small, Medium, Large" on the bottom right to change the number of top sites that appear and their size ***You can also drag and rearrange your sites***   6. Click "Done" on the bottom left to finish Reset your browser History and information 1. Click on "Safari" 2. Choose "reset safari" 3. Check the items to reset 4. Malware - What's that? How to prevent it.

What is malware? "Malware"   is short for malicious software and used as a single term to refer to virus, spyware, worm etc. Malware is designed to cause damage to a stand alone computer or a networked pc. So wherever a malware term is used it means a program which is designed to damage your computer it may be a virus, worm or Trojan. What differentiates viruses, spyware, cookies, etc? Worms:- Worms are malicious programs that make copies of themselves again and again on the local drive, network shares, etc. The only purpose of the worm is to reproduce itself again and again. It doesn't harm any data/file on the computer. Unlike a virus, it does not need to attach itself to an existing program.
