Macintosh Notes 8/22/17 My Computer is acting strange, what's wrong? If you think you have a virus, download a FREE antivirus software 1.Go to Google, Type in "Sophos antivirus Mac" 2.Remember the first 2 results are ADS 3.Also look at the website address/URL in green to confirm the source 4.Click Get Started 5.Register with Sophos and create a password (write it down) 6.Look in your email inbox for a verification email and the link to download the software 7.Then double click on the software to install it 8.The Sophos Icon appears on the top right bar beside the clock 9.Click the icon to open the software and run a manual scan If you feel your computer's performance has degraded since Sophos was installed, remove it. 1.Click Spotlight (magnifying glass top right corner) type in sophos 2.Click Remove Sophos If you use Firefox Update to the newest version! 1.Visit www.firefox.com 2.Click Download 3.Open the downloaded file (dmg) 4.The window opens with the firefox icon

PC Notes for 8/1/17 Troubleshooting Processes Issue: I Can't Open an Email Attachment! Understand the likely steps: 1. Receive the email with attachment 2. Click on the attachment to start the download Does not work, Internet Browser is Out of Date / / try to access the same email attachment in a different Internet browser (i.e. Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) Look carefully to see if it automatically downloaded as it does in Google Chrome, seen on the bottom left, and sometimes in Firefox, seen in the top right 3.
