Cheat Sheets Reference Guides Search for reference guides online – www.google.com Type in "cheat sheet word 2010" and go through the results that appear. Files vs. Folders Folders organize and contain files. Create a new folder 1. Go to where you want the new folder (desktop, documents, or within another folder) 2. hold apple key (command) + shift and tap the letter "n" 3. Type in the name of the new folder that appears **to rename a file/folder** click on the icon wait 3 seconds and then click on the name Move a File to a Folder 1. Locate the file to move 2. Click hold and drag the file on top of the folder Use Spotlight to find files/folders in your computer using a keyword (remember spotlight will search the name of the file AND the contents within a file) 1. Click the magnifying glass on the top right 2. Type in a word or two that will help locate your file 3. Click "Show All" at the top of your list to see a window displaying the results of the search 4. If needed click view more under the documents heading 5. choose which file to move or open New way of storing files/emails LEAVE IT - there is plenty of space
