PC Notes for 10-3-17 Where should I buy new ink? Staples, Office Depot, Office Max have next day free delivery. In the search bar on the top, type in the printer brand and model number, or type in the ink number. Do not stock up on ink as it is liquid and can dry up. **Be sure to buy original manufacturer branded ink, NOT the Aftermarket brand.** Do not turn off your printer, print at least once a week to keep your ink print heads clean and clear. If you are getting missing spots or bands in your printed material, run a nozzle check and then a nozzle cleaning. To run printer maintenance, nozzle check and printhead cleaning. Open the control panel, open the printer and devices, right click on the printer and choose printing preferences. To avoid the hassle of cleaning clogged printhead nozzles, buy a laser printer which uses powder. Downside is the toner/ink is costly but it lasts a lifetime. How to improve the speed of my computer/device! Software vs Hardware Software - programs that make the device work, apps installed to complete specific tasks. i.e. Windows, Macintosh Sierra, iOS, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Word, Excel ALSO…Antivirus, Drivers for the Printer, Hardware - components, equipment that makes the device work, i.e. CPU, Memory, Storage Space Software is difficult to remove because many of the applications running in the background are essential and nondescript. Hardware can be added to improve the speed of the computer. Specifically MEMORY/RAM. ~How do I know how much memory and what memory to buy? 1.Visit a memory retailer, www.crucial.com or www.kingston.com , www.macsales.com (mac) 2.Complete the memory finder form or download the software to check your computer's current configuration. 3.When the memory arrives in the mail, visit google or youtube and search for "replace memory for *Name and type of Computer*"

(another computer/server that stores your information for you accessed via the Internet) Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, Amazon Prime Member Access Cloud Storage on your Amazon Drive as a prime member Open Amazon Hover your mouse on Account & Lists on the top right Choose Amazon Drive Click "Create New Folder" top right to organize what you want to share Click Upload on the left Find the Files to upload Share the folder by clicking on the check mark to the left of the folder Click Share above Choose how to share the folder, as a link you will copy and paste or via email To Stop sharing the folder, delete it or remove the option to share by clicking Share
