Adjusting your Wifi connection
Be sure your device is connected to SFTInternet or your personal connection.
If you connect to the wrong connection, like xfinity, you will have to remove the connection from your list of saved connections to avoid future errors.
1) Click the Apple Menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Click Network
4) Click WiFi on the left
5) Click Advanced
6) Choose the connection you DO Not want
7) Click the - symbol to remove the connection

Turn off Sharing for your computer
1) Click the Apple Menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Click Sharing
4) Remove ALL check marks beside the options to share

Turn off Printer Sharing
1) Click the Apple Menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Click Printers and Scanners
4) Remove the check mark to share the printer

Scanning to your computer
1) Click the Apple Menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Click Printers and Scanners
4) Choose your scanner
5) Click Scan above
6) Click Open Scanner
7) Click Show Details
8) Choose a resolution of 200 DPI and if the original is a photo choose the jpg format or if the original is a document choose pdf
**Be sure to notice where the document will be saved to**
9) Click Scan

Paste vs. Paste and Match Style
Paste retains the original format as you copied it.
Paste and Match Style retains the format you are pasting the content into

What are Mouse or Trackpad Gestures?
Visit the Mouse or Trackpad settings in "system preferences" to review them, turn them off or turn them on.

Add an icon to the dock
1) Open the application to add to the dock
2) On the dock find the icon for the application, click and hold down
3) Go to options and choose Keep in Dock

Don't forget about the magnifying glass/spotlight to find ANYTHING in your computer (top right)
