Advertising is taking over my computer
Ad Blocker on the Web Browser
How can I stop ads from appearing on webpages?
Add an ad blocker add-on/extension
-Firefox-
  1. Click the three lines on the right
  2. Choose Add-Ons
  3. On the top right search bar type in Ad Block
  4. Install the Ad Block you want
  5. Restart the Browser

-Chrome-
  1. Click the three dots on the right
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Click Extensions on the left
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose Get More Extensions
  5. On the top left search bar type in Ad Block
  6. Install the Ad Block you want
  7. Restart the Browser

-Safari-
  1. Click the Safari Menu
  2. Choose Safari Extensions
  3. Choose and Install the Ad Block you want
  4. Restart the Browser

Surf the web privately/incognito
Click the three dots (chrome) three bars (firefox) on the right and choose private or incognito to surf the web and not be tracked!
To access private windows on an iOS device open Safari and click the two squares

Unsubscribe to an email
Look for a very, very small unsubscribe at the bottom of the email, click to follow the directions

Create Rules/Filters for Email
Gmail
1.Click on the sprocket
2.Choose Filter
3.Type in the criteria to test i.e. message contains unsubscribe
4.Click Next
5.Create the instructions what to do with emails that match your criteria

Yahoo
1.Click on the sprocket
2. Click Settings
3.Choose Filter
4.Type in the criteria to test i.e. message contains unsubscribe
5.Click Next
6.Create the instructions what to do with emails that match your criteria
