Using Google

Search for how to download the Bing Desktop (a free daily changing background image for your desktop)
1. Go to Google.com
2. Type in the search "download bing desktop"
3. Click the link from bing.com
4. Click download now
5. Choose to Save or Run the file and double click on the completed download to install the program/Bing Desktop
6. You will be prompted to click next, and agree to any terms
7. Upon completion your Bing desktop will be displayed

**Remember to always look at the green source (i.e. www.bing.com/explore/desktop, not https://bing-desktop.en.softonic.com) of the content not just the blue title**

2 Steps to Download and Install
1. Download
2. Double the file and Install the program followed by next, next….

Where is the file I downloaded?
Open the downloads folder. Click on any folder and look for a folder titled download on the left or on the top of the screen.

How can I make it easier to get to my Downloads, Documents, Pictures folders?
Create a shortcut to the main home folder on the desktop.
1. Open any folder
2. Click My Computer or This PC on the left
3. Click the hard drive usually C:
4. Open Users
5. Find the user titled your name or the name of the computer
6. Create a shortcut on the desktop by…
A. Right clicking on the folder
B. Choose Create Shortcut
7. Drag the new shortcut onto the desktop

What is Bing? Bing is a search tool from Microsoft and is similar to google or yahoo

How can I increase the font/text size?
It depends on what you are doing!

On a Website
1. HOLD CTRL
2. Press the + to increase the size or – to decrease the size
3. Press 0 to return to font to the default or 100%

On an email I am composing in yahoo.com or gmail.com
1. Find the icon that controls the font (yahoo Tt, gmail underlined A)
2. Choose the preferred size, medium or large

**Prefered Font PT size 12-16**

Word Processing
Change the font size using pt (points) usually on the top of the document
AND IF NEEDED
Zoom in or out of the page to see the text larger on the screen (usually a bottom slider with – and + at either end)

How can I control the size of what is printed?
Play with your settings.

Backup Quicken to a Flash Drive 1. Insert the flash drive into the computer 2. Wait for the computer to detect the drive (a window displaying the contents of the flash drive may open) – Drive is identified by the letter E: or F: etc. 3. Open Quicken 4.
