What is a web browser?
Is an Application used to access information on the Internet. Example,
Internet Explorer,
Mozilla Firefox, http://firefox.com
Google Chrome, http://chrome.google.com
Apple Safari, https://www.apple.com/safari/
Opera, www.opera.com
Microsoft Edge (must come with the computer)

What is the best web browser to use?
Up to you, based on the websites you access and what works best with your computer.

Which is the safest?
Do not use Internet Explorer!
Add an ad blocker to your browser to help avoid malware

How can I speed up my internet?
Try a different web browser.
Use for Wifi, SFTInternet5 (click the wifi icon on the bottom right and choose 5 for faster, NOT stronger internet) Test the speed at www.speedtest.net
If your computer does not show SFTInternet5, you might need to upgrade your wifi antenna. What is Flash? What is a plugin?
Flash adds animation functionality to the internet. If you need to update your flash plugin, go to www.adobe.com and click downloads on the bottom right of the page and follow the instructions to update your flash plugin.

Selecting Text – Why should I know how and what it is?
You must select text to tell the computer what you want to change, move, etc.

To select:
Click hold and drag your mouse over what you want to select/highlight.
OR
At the left margin on the same line as the sentence you want to select, click 3 times.

Moving text to a different place in a document or between documents.
1st method – Using the Edit menu
1. Select what you want to move
2. Click the Edit menu and choose copy to duplicate or cut to move
3. Click where you want the text to be moved to
4. Click the Edit menu and choose paste to place it
2nd method
1. Select what you want to move
2. Cut - Drag the selected text to the new location
Copy – Click hold and drag and press CTRL
3rd method – using shortcut keys
1. Select what you want to move
2. Hold down CTRL and tap c for copy or x for cut
3. Click where you want the text to be moved to
4. Hold down CTRL and tap v for paste

IMPORTANT – USE UNDO WHEN SOMETHING WRONG HAPPENS
Edit Menu → Choose UNDO
