PC Class Notes for 3/3/2015 Searching for Applications in the Computer Windows 7 – Click on the start menu and in the bottom search bar type in what you are looking for Windows 8 – Click the start menu and in the panels view, click on the magnifying glass in the top right and type in what you are looking for XP – Click on the start menu and search in All Programs   --Preinstalled Software-- Pin the application to the taskbar to keep it readily available. Right-click on the icon on the taskbar and choose "Pin This Program to Taskbar" Calculator Character Map Notepad Solitaire Snipping Tool Health & Fitness (Windows 8) Copy(Duplicate) and Paste(Place) 1. Class Notes for 2/3/15 PC Class -If the computer is not working properly…. RESTART THE COMPUTER -Restarting the computer – go to the windows flag in the bottom left corner and choose shutdown or click the power icon -When I shutdown the screen tells me it is updating and it doesn't go away, what do I do? WAIT, it will go away eventually -Cannot move the mouse or is the computer not responding. – Pull the power plug OR hold down the power button for 30 seconds   Graphics on the Desktop Folder (looks like a manila folder) or an icon (any other graphic. I have found the disc for installing and the little box that it came in.  A serial number is not anywhere to be found on or in the box, on the sleeve or on the disc.  Opening Adobe Elements and trying to register is TOTALLY INCOMPREHENSIBLE!!  I get nowhere with their easy three step system to redeem the product.  Any suggestions?  Dick
