Access "settings" 1.tap wifi on the left 2.tap the connection you want on the right 3.type in a password if needed   Searching for an application like settings in your device. 1.          From the top portion of your screen, swipe down. 2.          Type in what you are searching for. 3.          Tap the selection that appears   Using Safari Use the back arrow in the top left to go back to the previous page. Push the book to access the bookmarks or reading list. PC Class Notes for 3/3/2015 Searching for Applications in the Computer Windows 7 – Click on the start menu and in the bottom search bar type in what you are looking for Windows 8 – Click the start menu and in the panels view, click on the magnifying glass in the top right and type in what you are looking for XP – Click on the start menu and search in All Programs   --Preinstalled Software-- Pin the application to the taskbar to keep it readily available. Right-click on the icon on the taskbar and choose "Pin This Program to Taskbar" Calculator Character Map Notepad Solitaire Snipping Tool Health & Fitness (Windows 8) Copy(Duplicate) and Paste(Place) 1. Select what to Copy, Highlighting(click hold and drag over text) 2. Choose "Copy" function -> Edit menu choose Copy OR hold CTRL + Press C OR right click on the selected item and choose copy 3. Turn off your computer Hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds -or- unplug the machine Restarting the computer gives it a new reboot/refreshes (apple menu->restart) UPS-uninterrupted power supply (backup battery) Force Quit - allows you to choose applications that are stuck (hold option + command + press ESC) Spotlight - used to find files, applications in the computer Use the Disk Utility to repair disk permissions to improve performance.
